DENVER PRIDE 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈❤️‍🔥

I had the opportunity to photograph at Denver Pride this year for @outfrontmagazine. 🤩

It was full of love, sweat, community, and an impressive amount of clacking fans.

I only teared up twice while shooting from the overwhelming amount of love I felt in those moments, so I guess that means I’m doing something right by being here. 🥹🤣

Hit hard, hug harder.

Finally got a moment to share some photos from the last home match of the 2025 season.

These women built a community around rugby. They made hats & player cards, planned game themes, had community events, mentored young players, took time to meet fans, woke up early to practice, flew around the world to compete, and so much more.

I remember when the first home game ended and the crowd started singing pink pony club. I got chills and started to tear up because I felt the love in the stadium. The community was here for the team, for the players, for women’s sports, and for the inclusivity that the sport stands for. I know I wasn’t the only one who felt that.

I was talking with another friend who said it was like they entered a different world when they walked into the stadium, like a much needed break from reality.

Then after this last match, when the field was flooded with fans, two kids happened to walk by me. As they grabbed each other’s hands to not lose each other in the crowd one turned and said: “Isn’t it incredible? Look at how many rugby players there are!!”

And that is what it’s all about.

The team and staff are en route to Minnesota where they’ll be competing in the Legacy Cup against @wer_exiles. I wish I could be there to document the squad all the way to the end, but it’s #PRIDE weekend here in Denver!

So that’s a wrap on coverage for the Onyx.

Thank you to the players and staff of @wer_denver for having me. Documenting this season for you all has been an honor. Please know I would bake in the concrete sun for your 3-5 walk-ins any day.

Kicking off a concert series with Sylvan Esso from the Outside Festival at Denver Civic Center Park.

I had one intention heading into this two day weekend: to photograph people surrendering to the music, tapping into that intimate space where words fail.
