The Equine Impact

When speech language pathologist Lena Dubensky Masri reached out for branding photos for her business, The Equine Impact, I knew this would be a special project. She wanted photos for her Hippotherapy practice which is the combination of speech therapy and horseback riding. Plus, any excuse to work with horses is a big ‘YES’ from me.

As a brand photographer, I specialize in helping business owners showcase their vision through photos that look and feel like their brand.

The Power of Visual Storytelling for a Specialized Practice

Lena’s passion for helping children shines through her therapeutic riding instruction and speech therapy practice. As she establishes her own business, having branded photos is a key part to building a website.

A business’s website needs branding photos to help attract potential clients. My photos serve to visually showcase her expertise and the unique bond between her, the horses, and her clients.

Strategically Planning the Perfect Branding Photo Session

Working with horses requires careful planning and timing. We scheduled Lena’s branding session for early morning hours.

The goal was twofold: soft lighting and motivated pre-breakfast horse attention. This ensured I could capture authentic moments of her therapeutic work while obtaining a feel to the photos that was warm and welcoming.  Additionally, the horses were willing to work with us, eager to start their day.

For my branding sessions, I work to provide my clients with a library of photos that they can use for their website and social media content. For Lena, this included professional headshots, intimate portraits of her connecting with the horses, detailed shots of therapeutic tools (like AAC devices and speaking buttons), dynamic action shots of different therapy exercises, and more.

Each image was designed to tell the story of how horses play a role in helping children achieve their speech therapy goals.

Showcasing the Human-Horse Connection

What makes Lena’s approach special is the relationship between her, her clients, and the horses. Through carefully composed shots, we captured the trust, communication, and breakthrough moments that define hippotherapy.

These branding photos demonstrate not just her professional expertise, but also the emotional healing that occurs when speech therapy meets equine-assisted modalities.

Building a Business With Professional Photographs

For professionals like Lena who offer specialized services, professional branding photographs are crucial for building trust with potential clients. Parents seeking speech therapy services for their children need to see and feel the safe, nurturing environment where their child will receive care.

As a brand photographer, I understand that every business owner has a unique vision and I strive to showcase that individuality in photos. Lena’s branded photos will help her stand out in a competitive field while authentically representing the transformative power of her equine-assisted therapy for children with speech challenges.
