Accessibly Yours: Accessibility Branding Photos
When Pat Groninger (they/he) launched Accessibly Yours, a business focused on bridging accessibility and inclusion gaps in the hospitality industry, they knew they needed more than just a great concept. They hired Becky Duffyhill Photography for powerful visual storytelling to match their mission. Branding photos were essential to their brand launch.
“Four years ago, a car accident changed my mobility forever and started the journey that led me here.”
The Power of Authentic Branding Photography
Starting a new business requires quality branded photos that represent your brand in an authentic way. For Accessibly Yours, this meant documenting not just Pat’s personality and passion, but also the inclusive spaces and accessibility features their business evaluates. These accessibility branding photos needed to tell a complete story about inclusion, awareness, and the importance of accessible hospitality spaces.
Documenting Accessibility in Action
During our two branding sessions, I accompanied Pat to two Denver establishments: Town Hall Collaborative and Goldspot Brewing. My role was to document the accessibility features that many businesses overlook.
The accessibility branding photos I captured included:
-
- Entrance accessibility and signage
- Lighting levels throughout each space
- Floor layouts and navigation paths
- Seating arrangements and wheelchair accessibility
- Bathroom signage and accessibility features
- Bar height measurements and accessible seating options
- Parking accessibility
- LGBTQ+ inclusive signage indicating safe spaces
Portraits That Tell a Story
Beyond documenting physical spaces, the accessibility branding photos included authentic portraits of Pat in each location. These images showcase Pat’s expertise and passion while demonstrating how Accessibly Yours works directly with business owners to create more inclusive environments.
The portrait sessions captured Pat’s genuine interactions with business owners, highlighting the collaborative and supportive approach that makes Accessibly Yours unique in the accessibility consulting space.
Why Professional Branding Photography Matters
For businesses like Accessibly Yours, professional accessibility branding photos serve multiple purposes. At the very root, they build trust. High-quality photographs establish credibility and professionalism. This is especially important for a new consulting business.
Next, the photos help potential clients understand what accessibility assessments look like in practice, from beginning to end.
The personable portraits serve to help Pat connect with business owners who want to work with someone who truly understands their challenges. Pat has worked in the industry for years and is approachable and collaborative every step of the way.
Finally, professional images work across websites, social media, presentations, and marketing materials. Having a library of images is essential for brands looking to kickstart their business.
The Impact of Intentional Visual Storytelling
This accessibility branding photo session became the foundation of the brand’s identity by helping to visually communicate their expertise while showcasing the real-world application of their services. The images demonstrate that accessibility consulting isn’t just about complying to certain standards, it’s about creating welcoming spaces for everyone.
For entrepreneurs launching mission-driven businesses, investing in professional branding photography that authentically represents your values and services is the difference between blending in and standing out in your market.
